BEAT is saddened to announce the passing of our dearly loved former brass tutor and horn player, Dai Lewis. With nearly 40 years of dedicated service to young brass players in Barnet. Dai left an indelible mark on the community. He conducted the Barnet Youth Orchestra for 10 years alongside numerous other bands throughout his career.
Dai will be remembered fondly by many for his friendly and kind nature, along with his gentle way of teaching and mentoring. His passion for music and unwavering support for his students created a lasting impact, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
